Study visit in Olsztyn - winter 2016

Olsztyn is the undisputed capital of the Warmia-Mazury region, mainly because of the picturesque location surrounded by forests and lakes as well as its more than 650-year history, in which participated, among others, Copernicus and Erich Mendelsohn. They are many fantastic examples of religious architecture and military from the fourteenth century until the secession in the XIX. Strolling the streets of the old town you can admire the remains of the defensive walls, the massive silhouette of the Castle of the Chapter of Warmia and towering buildings on the dome of the Cathedral Basilica of St. Jacob. Ouxelooking every think of the place is completed by numerous performances, themed parties, concerts and exhibitions, enabling refreshing break from everyday life. Add to this a fantastic geographical location among several lakes and City Forest, you can sign up with both hands under the concept of "garden city".

The city, at any time of the year, offers the possibility of active rest and plenty of attractions for residents and tourists thanks to the project \'Olsztyn. Actively! ".

At the last week-end, representatives of the national media, such as: Świat i Ludzie, Rynek Turystyczny, Świat Podroze Kultura , National Geographic Traveler, TV TVN had a chance to check the winter offer.

The program of the visit include:

Modern - Ukiel Sports Recreation, possessing excellent infrastructure for winter sports activities.

Aquasfera Sports and recreation centre with Olympic-size pool.

Complementing the intensive program was an trip out of town, to the Cossack Ataman village, surrounded by beautiful nature where we enjoyed a sleigh ride.
